How many times have you started a project, got off to a really good start, then somewhere in the middle of page one and page two, you lost your focus? You may have been interrupted or just got side tracked but the outcome was the same; you lost focus. This seems to be a growing problem and one of the main issues many people do not succeed. I suggest that you learn to decide what it is you want to accomplish, put everything else aside and focus entirely on your task at hand.

Forget all the unread emails, turn your cell phone off, layout your task and focus on just one thing. There are many types of interruptions that can cause you to lose your focus so you must take a definitive effort to develop the skill of focus that is buried somewhere in the depths of your information overloaded brain. If you can spend just one hour on your most important project, you will find that you will accomplish more than you would if you spent the hour working on two or three projects. At the end of one hour you can likely finish one project, whereas if you divided your time on several projects you would have several unfinished projects at the end of the hour.

How can you regain your focus and apply this concept to your business? You may first have to back away from everything to determine which project is the most important project you need to finish. Clear your mind of everything else, all the clutter, forget the emails that may have just what you are looking for and it doesn’t matter who is calling on your cell phone. Your first goal is to focus and determine what you want to accomplish. Once you know this, then you direct your focus on the task and do what ever it takes to stamp the project complete.

If you can learn to focus on one project in this way, just think how much you can accomplish in a week or month. Start now, and re-train your mind to focus entirely on just one project, just one-step-at-a-time and you will soon find that you have come to a greater level of success, one-step-at-a-time.

I hear it all the time, “How can I start an online business with no money?” People everywhere are looking to start an online or home based business yet they want to do it without spending a cent. So, I ask them, “How can a farmer expect to harvest a crop if he doesn’t buy the seed?”

You can talk about starting a business and making all kinds of money all you want, but until you realize that you have to invest in your business, it’s not a business, it’s just a hobby. That does not necessarily mean you have to take out a second loan on your home, but you do have to invest.

Put yourself in the farmer’s boots for a moment. You want to plant a cash crop and you know you can, so how do you go about getting started? First, you decide what crop you will plant. You do your homework to determine which crop will produce you the most return based on all the conditions. Once you make this decision, you have to take the next step. You have to take action.

So can you just throw the seed on the ground and expect great results? No. You must then cultivate it in order to get the results you expect. Once your crop matures, you then can harvest its many fruits. You can see the results of your labor and your investment pays off.

Your business, whether online or offline, is much like planting a crop. You decide which business is best for you by reading and studying everything you can on the subject. Endeavor to Persevere

When you are in the right path, you must persevere. This is a basic understanding you must have when you are on your journey to success. There are some persons who are naturally lazy and possessing no self-reliance, no perseverance. However, they can cultivate these qualities in order to become successful. As Davy Crockett once said: “This thing remember when I am dead. Be sure you are right, then go ahead.”

Endeavor to persevere is a phrase I heard in a movie a number of years ago and it has stuck with me ever since. Endeavor is a conscientious or concerted effort toward an end; an earnest attempt. Whereas persevere is to persist in or remain constant to a purpose, an idea, or a task in the face of obstacles or discouragement.

If one is to achieve great or even moderate success, it is this go-ahead, the determination not to let the “blues” or the “horrors” take possession of you and rob you of your independence, your success which you must cultivate.

There have been many who have almost reached the goal of their ambition only to lose faith in themselves, relaxing their energies and focus, losing the golden prize forever. Dive in immediately and use your knowledge that you already have and start building a business. Don’t wait until everything is in place as it will never be that way in a real world. Track your progress with forward moving actions. Quit looking back. Always keep looking forward when building a business because forward is where you want to be, you want to achieve your freedom.

Lack of Focus
If you find that you have a lack of focus when building a business, then you need to refer back to your momentum plan. What is it that you have set forth that is going to take you to your desired results? Focus on this for success. Here is an article I wrote that I wanted to share with you on having success with the power of believing in yourself. Follow this journey to success.

What does success mean to you? It means many things to different people. Since I don’t know you, I won’t try to tell you what it may mean to you. However, I will tell you this, every human being wants success. Whatever the meaning is to them, they want it. You and I are no exception.

The power of believing is not magic, nor is it some mystical power. The power of believing works like this, if you possess the “I am positive, I can” attitude, then you will generate the power, skill and energy needed to do. When you have the “I can”, the “how to” will develop.

Develop your power of believing. Think success, never think failure. Whether you are at work or at home, think, “I will succeed,” not “I’ll probably fail.” When an opportunity appears, think, “I can do this,” and never think, “there’s no way,” “I’ll never be able.” Think only that you can, and you will.

Remind yourself everyday that you are among the best. Believing in oneself is of utmost importance. Successful people are not super human; they do not possess super natural powers. They are simply ordinary folks that believe in themselves and what they do. Never sell yourself short.

You must believe big. The size of your belief is directly proportional to the size of your success. If you think pennies, you get pennies; think dollars and you get dollars. It’s just as easy to have big plans, dreams and beliefs and it is to have small ones.

If you will apply these thoughts, these principles and techniques, these beliefs, to your online or, home based business or whatever you do, and if you will apply the power of believing, then you can launch yourself to success.
